During my recent travels, I noticed references to cats in several places I visited. In Barcelona, there is a famous cafe called 4 Gats www.4gats.com/web.html. The name and idea for the cafe was evidently inspired by Le Chat Noir caberet in Montmartre.

In the Pantheon in Paris, there is a bronze sculpture of an Egyptian style cat near Foucault's pendulum. From early photos of this area, it appears that the cat sculpture was there even before the pendulum. Here is a photo of the pendulum and the cat sculpture.

However my favorite feline on this trip was a small grey cat with green eyes in the open window of a Paris restaurant who flirtatiously accepted the admiration of passersby.
